Melissa Sue Anderson was my favorite actress during the late 1970's and 1980's. I had a major crush on her when she was on Little House on the Prairie during the 1970's. We are both the same age. I think we were both shy and quiet. I don't personally know her, but that was my impression of her from articles. I joined her fan club in the late 1970's and received some nice thank you notes when I sent her some bells as presents. Today, Melissa is married to Michael Sloan and has two children. She is semi-retired and lives in Montreal. She has spent most of her time raising her children. Melissa is a dual citizen of the United States and Canada. There are some recent articles posted on this site that describe her views on her semi-retirement. Also, the video clip from eTalk Daily is in the Filmography section. There are video clips and video captures from many of her TV and movie appearances in the Filmography section. I hope you enjoy this website. Please e-mail me with any comments or questions to Mike or my Facebook or MySpace page. Also, you can sign my guestbook. |

Melissa graciously answered some questions about her book for this website. Thank you, Melissa. |
Melissa wanted me to post this letterTo: Alison ArngrimFrom: Melissa AndersonI have not bothered to repudiate the lies and innuendos about me that people have told me are in your book. I have not bothered to refute the lies and innuendos about me you have spread in various interviews. If that’s what you feel you need to do to try and sell your book, it’s pretty pathetic, but that’s your decision. But when you state that I renounced my American citizenship, this is going too far. This is COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY UNTRUE. No one is a more patriotic American than me and at no time did I, or would I EVER renounce my American citizenship. My attorney informs me that some of these statements could be construed as Defamation of Character, and if you do not cease this ludicrous smear campaign HE will be the next one to contact you. If you want to live in the Little House past and base your career on being the real life reincarnation of your nasty TV character, that is your affair. I have not uttered a single unkind word about you, either in print or in the media. Take a page from MY book, Alison, and grow up.
